PSICOR Experimental web site

Home Page

I am a software engineer, but throughout my career I have managed to avoid web design. However, I needed a web site to test a remote interface to some microcontroller based automation apps - this is the result. It's not pretty, but it does function as intended. I took the opportunity to learn a little bit about HTML and built this site in Notepad using only an HTML reference manual.

When not involved in commercial software development I like to build electronic gadgets for my own amusement (or sometimes frustration). This allows me to avoid most of the boring bits of software/hardware development and ignore pointless rules and conventions as I see fit. I should really state here that I am not in any sense an electronics expert. Working with microcomputers has convinced me that the worlds of software and electronics are becoming much more intertwined. I don’t think it is possible to write effective software without a basic understanding of the hardware.

Given that this web site existed, I decided to use it as a repository for information on some of the projects I have built. The aim is simply to share information that might be useful to others.
